Terms of service
The terms we work under, written to be read. They repeat what is already published on the service pages, because terms that contradict the rest of the site are worse than none.

Who these apply to
These terms cover work commissioned from Nubuilt: architectural design, house plans, master planning, branding, websites, business systems, hosting and support. Where a signed proposal or contract says something different, that document wins.
Quotes and starting work
The first consultation is free and carries no obligation. After it you receive a written scope and a price. Quotes hold for 30 days.
Work starts when you accept the quote and the deposit is received, not before. If a project has not started within three months of a quote, we may re-price it, because material and licence costs move.
Payment
30% deposit before work begins, and the remaining 70% on completion. There are no hourly rates.
Final files, source files and access credentials are released once payment is complete. Work may be shown to you for review before then.
Third-party costs are passed on at cost and are not included in the quoted fee unless the quote says so: domain registration, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 licences, payment provider fees, printing, and the zoning and permitted use check.
What you own
On payment in full, the work is yours: drawings, source files, brand files, code and documentation. There is no licence to renew and nothing to keep paying for. If we stop working together, what we built keeps running.
We would like to show completed work in our portfolio, and we ask before publishing anything. If you would rather we did not, say so and we will not. Where we build a public demonstration of a system, it always carries a substitute company name and no real client data.
Revisions
Two revision rounds are included on architectural work and three on digital work. A revision refines what was agreed in the brief.
A change of direction is not a revision. We will tell you when a request is a change, and what it costs, before doing it.
Timelines
Architecture: concept in under two weeks, a full drawing set in about four. Digital: first concept in three to fifteen working days depending on complexity. These are the times the work takes, not guarantees of a completion date.
The thing that most often moves a date is material we are waiting for from you, which is why every service page lists what we need from you up front.
Council approval
We prepare complete council submission drawings and we assist with council queries. We do not and cannot guarantee that a submission will be approved, or how long a decision will take. Those are council's to make and they are genuinely hard to predict. Nothing we say about likely outcomes is a promise.
Site capacity studies
A Site Capacity Study reports what a site can physically hold: access, topography, boundaries, servicing and unit counts. It is not a feasibility study, and it does not tell you what zoning permits or what use is allowed.
If a purchase decision depends on what may lawfully be built, take the zoning and permitted use check as well. We state this on the website, in the study document itself, and here, because it is the one place where a misunderstanding would be expensive.
Warranty and support
Websites and systems come with one month of support and a twelve month warranty on major bugs. These are different things.
The warranty covers defects in what we built: something that does not work as specified gets fixed at no cost for twelve months. It does not cover changes to what was specified, problems caused by someone else editing the code, or a third-party service changing under us.
Support is help, questions and small fixes. After the included month it is provided under a support plan. Support keeps what you have working; changing or adding to it is quoted separately, and the test is whether it is a repair or a change.
Hosting and support plans
Plans run monthly or annually. Annual is charged at twelve months for the price of ten. Monthly has no lock-in and can be cancelled with 30 days notice. You can move to annual at any time and we credit the month already paid.
Domains are registered in your name, never ours, and we track renewals so they do not lapse. If you leave, the domain goes with you because it was always yours.
We do not operate a 24 hour service. Issues are addressed during office hours, Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:00. Monitoring runs continuously, so we often know before you do.
Responsibility and limits
We take responsibility for our own work and we fix what we get wrong. That is what the warranty is for and we do not intend to argue about it.
What we cannot take responsibility for are things outside our control: council decisions and timelines, the work of a builder or contractor you appoint, third-party services and hosting outages, material and currency movements, or losses arising from information you gave us that turned out to be wrong.
Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the fees you have paid us for the piece of work in question. We carry no liability for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit or lost opportunity.
Ending an engagement
Either of us can stop. If you cancel after work has started, the deposit covers work already done and anything beyond that is invoiced at the proportion completed. If we cannot continue, we hand over what exists and refund anything paid for work not done.
These terms are governed by the law of Zimbabwe.
Questions about any of this before you commission work: info@nubuilt.co.zw. We would rather answer now than argue later.
