Who we are

Nubuilt is a design and technology studio based at 1241 Mt Pleasant Heights, Harare, Zimbabwe. You can reach us at info@nubuilt.co.zw or on +263 78 128 2405. This policy covers the website nubuilt.co.zw.

What we collect when you just visit

Nothing that identifies you, and nothing that follows you.

This site runs no analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no tracking script of any kind, and no third-party fonts. Everything the page needs is served from our own domain.

Our web host keeps standard server logs, which record the address of the page requested, the time, and the IP address making the request. That is how every web server works, we do not analyse those logs to build a picture of individuals, and we cannot connect them to you unless you contact us.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Language is switched by the address you are on rather than by storing anything on your device.

One thing is stored, and only if you ask for it. If you choose to see prices in a currency other than US dollars, that choice is kept in your browser's own local storage under a single key, so the site remembers it on the next page. It never leaves your device, it is not a cookie, it is not sent to us or to anyone else, and clearing your browser data removes it. Nothing else is stored.

What we collect when you contact us

If you send the contact form, we store exactly what you typed: your name, your email address, your phone number, the kind of enquiry you chose, the location and budget if you filled them in, and your message.

Alongside that we record the time you sent it, the language you were reading in, the page you came from, your IP address and your browser's user agent string. The last two are kept for one reason, which is dealing with abuse of the form, and they are not used for anything else.

Messages you send us on WhatsApp, by email or by phone are held in those systems in the normal way. If you would rather not put something in writing, call.

Where it goes and who sees it

Every enquiry is saved on our own server first, then emailed to whichever of our addresses handles that kind of work. Saving before sending is deliberate: if the mail fails, your enquiry is not lost, and the page tells you plainly when that has happened.

Saved enquiries are not reachable from the web. Only Nubuilt reads them.

We do not sell your details, we do not share them with advertisers, and we do not add you to a mailing list. The only third parties involved are our web host, which stores the file, and our email provider, which carries the message.

Third-party content on this site

Project pages can include a video. We do not embed a player until you press play, so YouTube is not contacted while you are simply reading. Where a project supplies its own thumbnail image, nothing is requested from Google at all. Where it does not, the thumbnail is loaded from Google's image server, which means Google can see your IP address and which page you are on. Pressing play loads YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, at which point their terms apply.

WhatsApp buttons, map links and our social media links are ordinary links. Nothing is sent to WhatsApp, Google Maps or any social network until you tap one, and at that point you have left this site and their terms apply.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while they are useful, which in practice means for as long as we might reasonably need the history of a project or a conversation. If you ask us to delete yours, we delete it.

Project files and correspondence for work we have actually done are kept longer, because drawings and system documentation have a long life and clients come back for them years later.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@nubuilt.co.zw and we will do it. You do not need a reason and there is no form.

Zimbabwe's data protection law gives you rights over your personal information. This policy is how we intend to honour them in plain language rather than by reciting the statute.

Children

This site is for people commissioning building and digital work. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change how the site handles data, we change this page and update the date at the top. The date is the honest indicator: if the behaviour changed and the date did not, we made a mistake and would like to hear about it.
